Mark Cuban Supports Joe Biden in the 2020 Election

Nov. 4 2020, Updated 9:29 a.m. ET
Even though the results of the 2020 presidential election haven't been determined yet, tech investor Mark Cuban is throwing his support behind Joe Biden. In an interview with Rhett Buttle, the Biden campaign’s national business advisor, Cuban said that Biden is the "right choice for business."
Cuban criticized President Trump's response to the coronavirus pandemic, how it has impacted businesses, and what he calls "civil unrest." He doesn't think that President Trump was able to unite the American people when it was really needed and that it cost businesses money.

“Just the way that Donald Trump has just botched so completely the response to Covid, he has crushed hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of businesses," Cuban said. President Trump hasn't responded to Cuban's comments.
This isn't the first time Cuban has criticized President Trump's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. He also said that President Trump was "too silent" about the coronavirus when the pandemic started. In an interview with MSNBC, Cuban said that President Trump "is not really offering solutions in a way that builds confidence."
Mark Cuban is confident in Biden handling the COVID-19 pandemic
According to CNBC, Cuban voted for Hilary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election. He decided to stick with the same political party in 2020 as well. He said that Biden would handle the COVID-19 pandemic better than President Trump.
"We need somebody who can lead, who’s honest, who’s authentic, who deals with scientists and believes in science and understands, as things change, how to adapt," he said.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, President Trump has consistently downplayed the virus, which has killed over 232,000 people in the U.S., according to The New York Times. Even though there are thousands of new cases a day, President Trump has said it will just go away on multiple occasions.
Back in May, Cuban proposed a coronavirus stimulus on Twitter. "We need a transitional fed jobs program that trains and hires millions for a federal tracking/tracing/testing program as well as for support for at risk populations including long term care," he said in one tweet.
Mark Cuban predicts who will become the world's first trillionaire
Currently, Jeff Bezos is the richest man in the world. With a net worth of close to $190 billion, according to Forbes, he could become the world's first trillionaire. However, Cuban thinks that the first trillionaires will be individuals who are working with AI (artificial intelligence).
At the SXSW Conference and Festivals of 2017, Cuban said that AI could create new industries and avenues for people to make some serious money, according to CNBC. "I am telling you, the world’s first trillionaires are going to come from somebody who masters AI and all its derivatives and applies it in ways we never thought of," he said.
