VeriSign’s Return on Assets Stood at 14.4% in 3Q15

In 3Q15, VeriSign’s (VRSN) return on assets (or ROA) was 14.4% compared to 16.8% for the same period last year and 13.3% in 3Q13. In comparison, ROA for peer companies GoDaddy (GDDY) and NeuStar (NSR) were -0.29% and 11.1%, respectively in 3Q15. VeriSign’s revenue growth per share in the last 12 months is 12.7%. Its free cash flow growth was 20.5% for the same period.

VeriSign (VRSN) has a current ratio of 0.98x, lower than the industry median of 2.08x. Its quick ratio is 0.98x as well, lower than the industry median of 2x. Current and quick ratios measure a company’s ability to pay short-term obligations. VeriSign’s forward price-to-earnings (or PE) and price-to-sales (or PS) ratios are 27.8x and 11x, respectively. The industry median for forward PE and PS are 27.6x and 2.2x, respectively.

VeriSign’s three-year revenue growth, EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization) growth, and EPS (earnings per share) growth are 15.7%, 23.6%, and 44.8%, respectively, at the end of 3Q15.
