Tiger cub Stephen Mandel’s Lone Pine Capital is based in Greenwich, Connecticut, and filed its 13F last month. The table below outlines the main positions the fund traded during the quarter.

Lone Pine Capital’s US long portfolio saw a slight fall from $25.5 billion in 3Q14 to $23.8 billion in 4Q14.

A lot of the fund’s positions are in the technology sector such as Apple (AAPL), Autodesk (ADSK), Adobe Systems (ADBE), Arista Networks (ANET), and Baidu (BIDU). Apple and Adobe make up 17.9% and 0.9% of the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK), respectively.

Notable positions traded

The fund added new positions in Visa (V), HCA Holdings (HCA), DaVita HealthCare Partners (DVA), The Cooper Companies (COO), and W.R. Grace & Co. (GRA). Lone Pine’s top sold positions include The Gap (GPS), Comcast (CMCSA), Crown Castle International (CCI), Actavis (ACT), and LPL Financial Holdings (LPLA).

Top positions raised by the fund include The Priceline Group (PCLN), Autodesk (ADSK), MasterCard (MA), Facebook (FB), and Dollar General (DG). Top decreased positions include Microsoft (MSFT), Wynn Resorts (WYNN), Michael Kors Holdings (KORS), Valeant Pharmaceuticals (VRX), and McGraw-Hill Financial (MHFI).
