Revenues expected between $1.2 billion and ~$1.3 billion

In 4Q17, Juniper Networks (JNPR) expects revenues between $1.2 billion and ~$1.3 billion with gross margins of 62.0% and an operating margin of 22.6%. Non-GAAP[1. generally accepted accounting principles] EPS (earnings per share) are estimated to be $0.49–$0.55 for 4Q17.

Juniper Network stock fell after its 3Q17 results, driven by the firm’s disappointing outlook for 4Q17 as well. As the firm’s CEO, Rami Rahim, had attributed lower revenue in 3Q17 to timing issues, investors and analysts believed this factor could positively impact 4Q17 revenues.

Rahim stated, “Our Q4 revenue outlook reflects continued large deployment timing delays as we expect our large customers to continue their architectural transition…. Despite this outlook, we remain confident in our competitive position and strong relationships with these strategic customers.”
