Tableau’s products have attracted many clients
Tableau Software (DATA) has been able to grow over the years thanks to its expanding client portfolio and the higher usage of data analytics in most sectors. The company added 15,000 customers in 2016, 16,100 in 2017, and over 15,700 last year. Tableau’s global client base grew 22.8% year-over-year to over 86,000 last year.
Tableau struck 634 deals over $100,000 in the fourth quarter
Tableau has been able to sign more deals over $100,000 lately, signing 634 such deals in the fourth quarter, and 1,749 last year. The company’s continued research and development investments and innovative products have helped build its loyal customer base. Its revenue growth, which has mellowed with its transition to a subscription-based model, could slowly take off as clients embrace the new model.
