Tilray Stock Rising Pre-Market and Other Movers

Dec. 20 2018, Updated 8:43 a.m. ET

Tilray trading higher

Today, Tilray (TLRY) rose almost 11% in the pre-market hours. The boost was fueled by the announcement of a research partnership with AB InBev yesterday. See Cannabis Products: Tilray Partners with AB InBev.

Other cannabis stocks (HMMJ) that were also trading higher in the pre-market session include Aurora Cannabis (ACB)(ACBFF), which was up 1.9%, and Canopy Growth (WEED), which was trading 2.3% higher. Cronos Group (CRON) was also up nearly 1.9% in the pre-market hours, and Aphria (APHA) was trading 3.7% higher.

The developments with Tilray this week—first its announcement of a partnership with Novartis and then the partnership with AB InBev—has lifted the pessimism in the cannabis sector. At least for now.
