Western Digital (WDC) expects revenues of $5.2 billion–$5.3 billion in fiscal 2Q18.[1. fiscal 2Q18 ending in December 2017] Its gross margin is expected to be slightly higher than in fiscal 1Q18.

Its non-GAAP[1. generally accepted accounting principles] operating expenses are expected to reach $830.0 million with EPS (earnings per share) of $3.60–$3.70 in fiscal 2Q18. In fiscal 2018, WDC expects its revenues to rise 4.0%–8.0% YoY (year-over-year) with EPS of $13.00.

Analysts expect revenues to rise 7.9% YoY in fiscal 2Q18

Analysts estimate Western Digital (WDC) to post revenues of ~$5.3 billion in fiscal 2Q18. Analysts have a high revenue estimate of ~$5.4 billion and a low estimate of ~$5.2 billion.

If WDC achieves the analyst revenue target of ~$5.3 billion in fiscal 2Q18, it would mean a YoY (year-over-year) rise of 7.9% compared to revenues of $4.9 billion in fiscal 2Q17.

Analysts expect revenues to rise 5.4% YoY to $4.9 billion in fiscal 3Q18, 6.5% YoY to ~$20.3 billion in fiscal 2018, and 0.6% YoY to ~$20.5 billion in fiscal 2019.

WDC’s non-GAAP EPS is expected to be $3.67 with a high estimate of $3.90 and a low estimate of $3.61. In fiscal 2Q17, WDC reported EPS of $2.30. Analysts expect the firm’s EPS to rise 60.0% YoY in fiscal 1Q18.
