How FireEye’s Helix Performed in Fiscal 3Q17

Helix performance in 3Q17

FireEye (FEYE) released Helix in fiscal 1Q17. Helix is FireEye’s comprehensive cloud-based offering with subscription pricing—an intelligence-driven security platform that simplifies, integrates, and automates security operations, regardless of the organization’s size or industry.

Notably, 57 new customers were signed onto FireEye’s Helix security platform in 3Q17, bringing the total number to 71. Helix version 1.2 was shipped last quarter.

Helix provides cross-selling opportunities

Kevin Mandia, FireEye’s CEO (chief executive officer), is of the opinion that a great security company should have both competitive network security offerings and end-point solutions. In its fiscal 3Q17 earnings release, FireEye said that Helix would be the user interface for company’s single spoke sales.

FireEye’s new offerings are seeing rapid adoption, as 57 new Helix customers were added in 3Q17. Though Helix is in its early stages, the company’s management continues to tweak the product and feels that the platform would offer several cross-selling opportunities.
