Duke Energy (DUK) stock has largely trended northward so far this year. Let’s see what institutional investors have done with their Duke Energy holdings recently.

According to a recent filing, The Vanguard Group, the largest institutional investor in Duke, added 1.6 million shares in 2Q17. It now holds 7.2% of Duke Energy’s total free-floating shares.

State Street Global Advisers reduced its holdings in 2Q17 compared to 1Q17. It sold net 0.6 million shares of Duke Energy, which brought State Street’s stake in Duke Energy to 4.8%.

Apart from State Street Global Advisers, the rest of the top five institutional investors increased their holdings in Duke Energy.
