Network performance in Los Angeles
Previously in this series, we discussed T-Mobile’s (TMUS) improvement in network reliability in Los Angeles, according to the 1st Half 2016 Metro Area RootScore Report for that market. Now let’s look at the overall network performance of the top four US mobile players in the same market.
According to the latest RootScore report, Verizon (VZ), T-Mobile, and Sprint (S) held the respective first, second, and fourth places in overall network performance that they had in the previous 2H15 report.
According to the 1H16 RootScore report for Los Angeles, AT&T took third in network performance, whereas in 2H15, AT&T shared the second place.
Network speed in Los Angeles
According to the 1st Half 2016 Metro Area RootScore Report for Los Angeles, the respective ranks of the top four US mobile players in the network speed category remained the same as in the 2H15 report, with Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and Sprint coming in first, second, third, and fourth places, respectively.
Instead of taking direct exposure to Verizon’s stock, you can get diversified exposure to the telecom company by investing in the SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF (DIA), which held ~2% in Verizon at the end of May 2016.
