
Sprint Network Reliability Improves in Ann Arbor in 1H15

In the previous parts of this series, we looked at Sprint’s 1H15 network performance in two Michigan metro markets. In a recent press release, Sprint pointed out improved performance in certain RootMetrics’ scores in another metro market in Michigan. According to the May 21, 2015, press release, “Earlier this month Sprint reported shared 1st place rankings for reliability, call and text performance in Ann Arbor, Michigan.”
Reliability of networks in Ann Arbor in 1H15
Based on RootMetrics’ 1H15 Ann Arbor results, Sprint shared the top spot in network reliability with AT&T (T) and Verizon (VZ). Verizon and AT&T shared this spot for the Ann Arbor market in 2H14. Sprint shared the third spot in network reliability with T-Mobile (TMUS) in 2H14 for this market. Sprint’s score in this metric improved in 1H15. It improved from 98.2 in 2H14 to 98.6 in 1H15. T-Mobile’s (TMUS) network got the last spot in this metric for the market in 1H15.
Call and text performance in Ann Arbor in 1H15
Sprint got the top spot in both call and text performance metrics in the Ann Arbor market in 1H15. It shared the top rank in call performance with AT&T in 1H15. It also shared the top spot in text performance with the other three wireless carriers in 1H15. Sprint’s score in the call performance metric for the market improved in 1H15. It improved from 98.9 in 2H14 to 99.6 in 1H15. In terms of text performance, Sprint’s rank improved in 1H15 from the second spot in the Ann Arbor market in 2H14.
