What Dividends Could Interactive Brokers Declare in 2018?

Expectations for 2018

Interactive Brokers Group (IBKR) is expected to declare a dividend per share of $0.40 in 2018, with a quarterly dividend of $0.10 per share. The company has been declaring quarterly dividends of $0.10 per share over the past several quarters.

Whereas Interactive Brokers has a last-12-month dividend yield of 0.67%, peers (XLF) LPL Financial Holdings (LPLA), Financial Engines (FNGN), and Raymond James Financial (RJF) have yields of 1.8%, 0.99%, and 0.99%, respectively.

Dividends declared by peers

On October 31, 2017, Peer Financial Engines (FNGN), declared a quarterly dividend per share of $0.07, to be paid January 5, 2018. This quarterly payout has remained the same over the past several quarters.

On October 26, 2017, LPL Financial Holdings (LPLA) declared a quarterly dividend per share of $0.25, which was paid by the company on November 27, 2017. LPLA’s quarterly payout, which is higher than Interactive Brokers’, has been the same over the last several quarters. LPLA is expected to declare a dividend per share of $1.05 in 2018, significantly higher than Interactive Brokers’ expected dividend.

On November 29, 2017, Raymond James Financial (RJF) declared a quarterly dividend per share of $0.25, to be paid on January 17, 2018. The company raised its quarterly payout from $0.22 per share.
