Aphria is a Canada-based cannabis company founded in 2014. The company engages in the production and supply of medical cannabis. Aphria has been struggling to generate profits and achieve financial targets. 

In the first quarter, Wall Street analysts expect Aphria to post sales of 159.7 million Canadian dollars, which would be 26.7 percent higher than 126.1 million Canadian dollars in sales in the first quarter of fiscal 2020. Analysts also expect the company to report an adjusted EPS of -0.04 Canadian dollars in the first quarter compared to 0.07 in the same period a year ago.

Aphria stock is traded on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol “APHA.” The stock was down about 3.9 percent at $6.12 in the pre-market trading session on Tuesday, Oct. 13, as of 7:54 a.m. ET. The stock rose 10.8 percent on Oct. 12 and closed at $6.37 with a market capitalization of $1.65 billion.
