Recently, leading cannabis companies Green Thumb Industries (GTBIF) and Liberty Health Sciences (LHSIF) launched retail stores in new locations. Both companies opened retail outlets in Florida, one of the fastest-growing medical marijuana markets in the country—with more than 413,000 registered patients.
Green Thumb Industries
Green Thumb Industries is a leading cannabis retailer in US. The company focuses on manufacturing a portfolio of cannabis products. Its brands include Dogwalkers, Incredibles, Rythm, The Feel Collection, Dr. Solomon’s, and Beboe. The company also operates growing retail stores called Rise and Essence. Further, it currently has 13 production facilities and licenses for 96 retail stores in the country.
Green Thumb Industries increased its retail presence to 36 stores, with its new stores in Florida and Pennsylvania. The company launched its new retail outlet at Rise West Palm Beach on December 11. It entered Florida’s cannabis market in 2019, with the new retail store being its sixth in the state. Rise also provides delivery services to registered cardholders in Florida. To use these delivery services, customers can place orders online or call the outlets directly.
To continue the company’s expansion, it launched another retail store, Rise New Castle, in Pennsylvania on December 17. The company entered the Pennsylvania cannabis market in 2017, and the recently opened retail store is the company’s ninth in Pennsylvania. Presently, the state’s medical cannabis program has around 180,000 patients. The state’s marijuana sales recently crossed $500 million.
Green Thumb Industries’ founder and CEO, Ben Kovler, said, “We are honored to open our ninth Rise store in Pennsylvania and to be the first medical cannabis retailer in New Castle. We look forward to bringing high-quality cannabis products and a customer-first retail experience to more patients in the state.”
