AT&T and T-Mobile’s Latest EPS Expectations

AT&T’s earnings trend

For the quarter ending on March 31, AT&T (T) posted an adjusted EPS of $0.86—an increase of 1.2% from $0.85 in the first quarter of 2018. Sequentially, the company’s adjusted EPS remained unchanged from $0.86 in the fourth quarter of 2018.

Analysts expect AT&T’s adjusted EPS to change YoY (year-over-year) by -2.2% to $0.89 in the second quarter, 4.4% to $0.94 in the third quarter, and 3.5% to $0.89 in the fourth quarter.

Analysts also expect AT&T’s adjusted EPS to change YoY by 1.1% to $3.56 in fiscal 2019, 2.0% to $3.63 in fiscal 2020, and -0.3% to $3.62 in fiscal 2021.

T-Mobile’s earnings trend

For the quarter ending on March 31, T-Mobile (TMUS) posted an adjusted EPS of $1.06—an increase of 35.9% from $0.78 in the first quarter of 2018. Sequentially, the company’s adjusted EPS rose 41.3% from $0.75 in the fourth quarter of 2018.

Analysts expect T-Mobile’s adjusted EPS to change YoY by 5.4% to $0.97 in the second quarter, 11.8% to $1.04 in the third quarter, and 22.7% to $0.92 in the fourth quarter.

Analysts also expect T-Mobile’s adjusted EPS to change YoY by 17.9% to $3.96 in fiscal 2019, 17.9% to $4.67 in fiscal 2020, and 16.3% to $5.43 in fiscal 2021.
