
Charter’s Q1 Revenues: Analysts’ Expectations

Charter Communications (CHTR) is expected to report total revenues of $11.2 billion in the first quarter—an increase of ~5.1% on a YoY (year-over-year) basis. Analysts expect the company’s sales to rise ~5.0% YoY to $45.8 billion in 2019 and ~5.6% YoY to $48.4 billion in 2020.
In the fourth quarter of 2018, Charter Communications’ revenues rose ~5.9% YoY to $11.2 billion, which was $95 million ahead of Thomson Reuters’ average consensus revenue expectation. The YoY revenue increase was driven by ongoing growth in the company’s residential and commercial segments.
In the fourth quarter of 2018, Charter Communications’ residential services revenues rose ~3.9% YoY to $8.8 billion, while the commercial services revenues rose ~4.5% YoY to $1.6 billion. The company’s advertising revenues rose ~34.1% YoY to $562 million in the fourth quarter of 2018. Charter Communications reported mobile revenues of $89 million in the fourth quarter of 2018.
