Are Sprint’s Earnings Expected to Fall in Q4?

On May 1, Sprint (S) is scheduled to report its earnings results for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2018. The fourth quarter ended on March 31. Analysts expect Sprint’s adjusted EPS to reach -$0.01 in the fourth quarter—compared to $0.02 in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2017. Analysts expect the company to report an adjusted EPS of $0.05 in fiscal 2018, $0.04 in fiscal 2019, and $0.06 in fiscal 2020.

In the third quarter of fiscal 2018, Sprint reported an adjusted EPS of -$0.03—compared to an adjusted EPS of $0.03 in the third quarter of fiscal 2017. Analysts expected an adjusted EPS of -$0.02 in the third quarter of fiscal 2018.

T-Mobile’s (TMUS) adjusted EPS is expected to rise ~17.9% YoY (year-over-year) to $0.92 in the fourth quarter. AT&T’s (T) adjusted EPS is expected to grow ~1.2% YoY to $0.86. Verizon’s (VZ) adjusted EPS is expected to reach $1.17 or remain unchanged on a YoY basis in the same quarter.
