In 2018, T-Mobile’s (TMUS) adjusted net income and EPS were $2.9 billion and $3.36, respectively—compared to $2.3 billion and $2.71 in 2017. In the fourth quarter of 2018, T-Mobile posted an adjusted net income and EPS of $640 million and $0.75, respectively—compared to $507 million and $0.61 in the fourth quarter of 2017.

Analysts expect T-Mobile to report an adjusted net income and EPS of $799 million and $0.93, respectively, in the first quarter of 2019. Analysts also expect the company to report an adjusted net income and EPS of $3.3 billion and $3.85, respectively, in 2019.

Peer comparison

Sprint (S) is expected to post an adjusted EPS of -$0.01 in the first quarter, which ends on March 31. Verizon’s (VZ) adjusted EPS is expected to reach $1.17 or remain unchanged on a YoY (year-over-year) basis. AT&T’s (T) adjusted EPS is expected to rise ~1.2% YoY to $0.86 in the first quarter.
