CGC, CRON, ACB, TLRY, and Other Cannabis Stocks Are in the Red



A weak start

On Monday, March 4, most cannabis stocks began trading in negative territory, which extended through the first half of the day. The Horizons Marijuana Life Sciences ETF (HMMJ) declined about 1.2% as of 11:35 AM ET while the ETFMG Alternative Harvest ETF (MJ) was down about 1.5%.

Cronos Group (CRON) saw one of the biggest losses among cannabis peers, declining nearly 4.3% through the first half of the day while Aurora Cannabis (ACB) followed with a 2.3% decline. Early this morning, Cronos Group announced that it exited its position in Whistler Medical Marijuana Corporation, which was absorbed by Aurora Cannabis.

Tilray (TLRY) wasn’t far behind with a decline of 2.3% and HEXO (HEXO) lost nearly 2% around 11:35 AM ET. Canopy Growth (WEED)(CGC) was also in the red, declining about 0.51%.

Some US cannabis-related stocks were also trading in the negative. Innovative Industrial Properties (IIPR) was down 2% and KushCo Holdings (KSHB) declined about 2%. Check out Analysts’ Ratings for KSHB, IIPR, and Green Thumb Industries.

But, on the other end of the spectrum, Aphria (APHA) gained about 1.6%, OrganiGram (OGRMF)which was the biggest gainer last week—was up 0.88%, and CannTrust (CTST) was up 1.5%.
