Green Growth Brands appoints a new COO
Today, Green Growth Brands (GGBXF) announced the appointment of Randy Whitaker as its new chief operating officer. COO is a new position at Green Growth Brands. This move will be effective immediately. Whitaker is to oversee real estate, business development, store design and construction, e-commerce, and field operations support.
Whitaker joins Green Growth Brands from Belk, a privately held department store with 293 locations. Prior to Belk, he worked with Victoria Secret for more than 15 years. Under his leadership, Green Growth Brands aims to expand rapidly.

Stock price reaction
Surprisingly, GGBXF stock was trading down 1.8% at 3:00 PM ET. GGBXF’s peers Aphria (APHA), Canopy Growth Corporation (CGC), and Aurora Cannabis (ACB) have gained 5.6%, 5.2%, and 4.9%, respectively, while the broader-market S&P 500 (SPY) was up 0.2%.
