A stroll down memory lane

With the bloodbath that is XPO Logistics Inc. (NYSE: XPO) being in the headlines today, I could not help but to think back to December 2017 when Home Depot Inc. (NYSE: HD) was said to be considering an offer for the company just to keep it out of the hands of Amazon Inc. (Nasdaq: AMZN).

Could it still happen?

An acquisition never panned out and the rumors of accounting fraud being swirled by Spruce Point Capital Management today probably doesn’t help XPO’s case of being an acquisition target now or in the near future, but you never know, right?
