Importance of the latest service

On August 15, 2018, Oracle (ORCL) launched Oracle Transportation Management Cloud and Oracle Global Trade Management Cloud for its enterprise customers. The latest products could add significant value to organizations by helping them track shipments and delivery status, thus saving clients both time and money. The products could also improve customer satisfaction by facilitating the timely delivery of goods. Moreover, the products help Oracle clients comply with different regulations in different regions.

Nahdi Medical Company is already benefitting from Oracle’s Transportation Management Cloud. The company believes that the implementation has helped it boost its truck utilization by 5% to 10%.

Some other benefits are its graphical diagnostics tool, which allows customers to easily explore and resolve queries in real time. Moreover, the UX and collaboration feature also provide clients with a user-friendly interface.

Can these products drive the cloud business?

Oracle is falling behind top cloud players like Microsoft (MSFT) and IBM (IBM), which enjoy significant positions in the cloud space. In the last four quarters, both Microsoft and IBM generated cloud revenue of $23.2 billion and $18.5 billion, respectively. Thus, these new cloud products coupled with the acquisition of different companies may improve the company’s cloud business going forward. The chart above shows Oracle’s revenue growth.
