Sprint’s overall network performance in Colorado Springs
RootMetrics recently released its findings on the wireless network performance of the four largest carriers in the Colorado Springs market. According to the first half 2018 RootScore report for Colorado Springs, Sprint (S) shared the top spot along with T-Mobile (TMUS) and Verizon (VZ) in the overall network performance category, whereas AT&T (T) ranked fourth.
Sprint earned scores of 97.3 for its overall network performance in Colorado Springs compared with Verizon’s score of 96.9, AT&T’s score of 94.5, and T-Mobile’s 97.2.
Sprint’s network performance
According to the first half of 2018 RootScore report for Colorado Springs, Sprint won or shared the top position across four network performance categories: overall performance, text performance, network reliability, and call performance. Meanwhile, T-Mobile took the top spot in the network speed and data performance categories.
According to the report, Sprint registered the fastest median download speed in the first half of 2018. Sprint’s median download speed rose from 18.4 Mbps in the second half of 2017 to 30.4 Mbps in the first half of 2018. T-Mobile had the fastest median upload speed of 14.4 Mbps. Verizon’s median download speed rose from 10.0 Mbps to 15.8 Mbps. Likewise, Verizon’s median upload speed rose from 5.5 Mbps to 7.5 Mbps. In addition, Verizon didn’t register any mobile-to-mobile dropped calls during testing in the first half of 2018.
