CVR Partners (UAN), an MLP involved in the production of nitrogen fertilizers, was the top MLP gainer in the week ended July 13. UAN rallied 9.7% during the week. Overall, the partnership has risen 13.4% since the start of this year.

Kimbell Royalty Partners
Kimbell Royalty Partners (KRP), a thinly traded royalty and mineral interest–owner MLP, was the second-highest MLP gainer and rose 6.9%. The partnership’s strong gain last week could be attributed to the successful closing of the Haymaker acquisition. Overall, KRP has gained 43.6% year-to-date.
TransMontaigne Partners (TLP), a midstream MLP mainly involved in liquid storage and terminaling, was the third-highest MLP gainer last week. It ended the week 6.5% higher. TLP stock saw a sharp rally last week after it announced a buyout offer from ArcLight.
According to the related press release, “ArcLight would acquire through a subsidiary all common units of the Partnership that ArcLight and its affiliates do not already own in exchange for $38.00 per common unit.”
Other MLP top performers
Dominion Midstream Energy Partners (DM), EQT GP Holdings (EQGP), TC PipeLines (TCP), Buckeye Partners (BPL), Navios Maritime Midstream Partners (NAP), EQT Midstream Partners (EQM), and Calumet Specialty Products Partners (CLMT) were the top MLP gainers last week.
