Oilfield Services Gainers This Week: AROC, OII, DRQ, TTI, CRR

In this part of the series, we’ll analyze the top percentage gainers from the oilfield services sector in the United States from June 18–20. To compile the list, we used oilfield services companies with market capitalizations greater than $100 million and an average volume greater than 100,000 shares last week.

Archrock gained the most

From June 18–20, Archrock (AROC) was at the top of the list of gainers in the oilfield services group. It increased from last week’s close of $11.25 to $11.95 on June 20, a rise of 6%. There is no press release from the company this week.

Last week, on June 15, AROC found support at its rising 50-day moving average. Then it rose from June 18–20. The majority of its gains came on June 18 with an increase of 5%. As of June 20, AROC was trading at $11.95. Its 50-day and 200-day moving averages were $11.18 and $10.36, respectively.

Archrock has been on a strong uptrend since April 3, rising 45%. Currently, it’s trading close to its 52-week high of $12.56, which it hit in October 2017.

Moving up: OII, DRQ, TTI, CRR

Archrock (AROC) is followed by Oceaneering International (OII), Dril-Quip (DRQ), Tetra Technologies (TTI), and Carbo Ceramics (CRR). They rose 5.7%, 4.6%, 4%, and 3.6%, respectively, from June 18–20.

In general, there’s a positive sentiment about the oilfield services stocks this week. That’s evident in the gain of 0.3% for the VanEck Vectors Oil Services ETF (OIH), which represents an index of stocks from the oilfield services industry.
