Last week, which ended on April 20, prices for DAP (diammonium phosphate) fertilizer were flat to positive except for Morocco, which experienced a weekly decline in prices.
Three of the seven locations in the above chart saw a weekly gain, while three experienced a sideways momentum. NOLA (New Orleans) saw the biggest gain among all the locations with a 78-basis-point weekly increase to $350 per metric ton from $347 per metric ton the previous week. It was followed by China, which saw a 74-basis-point weekly gain to $411 per metric ton from $408 per metric ton the previous week. DAP prices in India gained 24 basis points to $426 per metric ton from $425 per metric ton.
Tampa, Central Florida, and Saudi Arabia experienced a sideways movement in DAP prices last week. DAP prices in Tampa were $408 per metric ton. In Central Florida, DAP prices were $358 per metric ton, and in Saudi Arabia, they were unchanged at $417 per metric ton.
In Morocco, DAP prices declined 24 basis points week-over-week to $415 per metric ton, from $416 per metric ton the previous week.
Year-over-year, DAP prices in NOLA (New Orleans) rose 23%, and in Central Florida, they rose 18%. In India, prices rose 16%, and in both Saudi Arabia and China, DAP prices rose 15%. In Tampa, DAP prices rose 12%, and in Morocco, they rose 10% year-over-year.
