In fiscal 2Q18, player engagement rose 25% YoY (year-over-year) for Madden Ultimate Team, while its competitive base grew 30% YoY. FIFA 18 launched in late September 2017 and was made available for purchase in over 50 countries.

NBA LIVE 18

During EA’s fiscal 2Q18 earnings call, CEO Andrew Wilson said, “NBA LIVE 18 was a strong re-entry into the market, and continues to captivate a growing base of NBA fans.”

The new NHL THREES gaming mode helped EA to gain a new player base, as 60% of first-time EA players joined in fiscal 2Q18. EA aims to drive growth by expanding audience reach, new experiences, and competition.

NFL Mobile

In fiscal 2Q18, unique players for Madden NFL Mobile rose significantly YoY as EA launched a new season in the game. User engagement in mobile gaming was driven by in-game events in Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes in fiscal 2Q18. Both these games were among the ten top-grossing games in the App Store (AAPL) and Google Play (GOOG) (GOOGL).

FIFA Mobile now has over 113 million players to date, and fans are anticipating the annual update of this game in fiscal 3Q18.
