
KKR’s Private Equity Division’s Deployments

Rising numbers on a YoY basis
KKR & Co.’s (KKR) Private Equity division reported monitoring, management, and transaction fees of $178.2 million in 2Q17, reflecting a 29.3% increase year-over-year (or YoY). This increase resulted from the rise in management fees from $118.7 million in 2Q16 to $142.2 million in 2Q17.
The company’s Private Equity division also witnessed a substantial YoY increase of ~72.5% in its total performance income to $543.6 million in 2Q17.
KKR & Co.’s total investment income stood at $336.0 million in 2Q17, which is mainly due to net unrealized gains of $308.0 million in 2Q17. The net unrealized gains of $308.0 million was achieved on the back of investment performance in KKR’s private market strategies.
With respect to total deployments, KKR & Co. deployed $4.9 billion in 2Q17. Of this total, $3.6 billion was deployed in its Private Equity division. Over the last 12 months (or LTM), the company has invested ~$17 billion. Of this total, $12 billion was invested in its Private Equity division.
