T-Mobile’s overall network performance in Modesto
In the previous part of this series, we discussed T-Mobile’s (TMUS) network performance in the San Antonio, Texas, market. Now let’s take a glance at the latest network performance in Modesto, California.
Based on the second half of 2017 RootScore report for Modesto, T-Mobile shared the top spot along with Verizon (VZ) and AT&T (T) in the overall network performance category. Meanwhile, Sprint (S) came in at fourth place in overall network performance. T-Mobile earned scores of 96.8 for overall network performance in Modesto, compared with AT&T’s score of 96.7, Verizon’s score of 96.3, and Sprint’s 93.9.

According to the 2H17 RootScore report for Modesto, T-Mobile won or shared the top spot across the network performance categories: overall performance, network reliability, text performance, and call performance. Meanwhile, AT&T secured the top spot in the network speed and data performance categories.
Further, Verizon didn’t record any mobile-to-landline blocked calls during the testing. The fastest median download speed of 22.9 Mbps was recorded by AT&T, whereas the fastest median upload speed of 10.6 Mbps was recorded by T-Mobile. Verizon and Sprint’s median download speed fell to 12.8 Mbps and 13.0 Mbps, respectively. Meanwhile, Sprint’s median upload speed fell from 4.3 Mbps in the first half of 2017 to 1.9 Mbps in the second half of 2017.
