Revenue of $1.5 billion
US-based (SPY) technology (QQQ) company Motorola Solutions (MSI) will announce its 2Q17 results on August 3, 2017. Analysts expect MSI to post revenue of $1.5 billion in 2Q17, a rise of 2.4% YoY (year-over-year) compared to $1.4 billion in 2Q16.
Analysts have a high revenue estimate of $1.47 billion for the stock and a low estimate of $1.45 billion for the stock in 2Q17.
Analysts expect MSI to post non-GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) EPS (earnings per share) of $1.04 in 2Q17, with a high EPS estimate of $1.1 and a low estimate of $1. This result would be 1% higher than its EPS of $1.03 in 2Q16.
MSI has beaten analysts’ EPS estimates in the last four consecutive quarters. In 1Q17, it beat the estimate by 24.6% with EPS of $0.71. It also beat the estimate by 9.7% in 4Q16 with EPS of $2.03. In 3Q16, MSI posted EPS of $1.37, 14.2% higher than analysts’ estimate. In 2Q16, the company posted EPS of $1.03, 19.8% higher than analysts’ estimate of $0.86.
Revenue expected to rise in 2017
Analysts expect MSI’s revenue to rise 0.6% YoY in 3Q17 to $1.54 billion, compared to $1.53 billion in 3Q16. The company’s revenue is expected to rise 2.3% YoY to $6.17 billion in 2017, compared to $6.0 billion in 2016.
