Revenue of $44.9 billion
US-based (SPY) technology (QQQ) giant Apple (AAPL) will be announcing its fiscal 3Q17 results on August 1, 2017. Analysts expect Apple to post revenue of $44.9 billion in fiscal 3Q17, with a high revenue estimate of $46.1 billion and a low estimate of $43.2 billion for the quarter ended June 30, 2017.
If Apple meets analysts’ consensus revenue estimate of $44.9 billion, it would mean a YoY (year-over-year) revenue rise of 6% compared to fiscal 3Q16.
Analysts expect Apple to post earnings per share (or EPS) of $1.57 in fiscal 3Q17, with a low earnings estimate of $1.5 and a high estimate of $1.64. In fiscal 3Q16, Apple reported EPS of $1.42, indicating that analysts expect its EPS to rise over 10% YoY.
Analysts expect Apple’s revenue to rise 7% YoY in fiscal 4Q17 and 4.9% YoY in fiscal 2017. Apple beat analysts’ consensus EPS estimate by 4% when it announced EPS of $2.1 in fiscal 2Q17. Apple also beat analysts’ EPS estimates by 4.7% and 0.6%, respectively, in fiscals 1Q17 and 4Q16.
Apple reported revenue of $52.9 billion in fiscal 2Q17
In fiscal 2Q17, Apple’s revenue rose 5% YoY to $52.9 billion. It had net income of $11 billion and EPS of $2.1. Strong MacBook sales and a rise in Apple’s Services business drove its revenue in the quarter.
