Juniper Networks’ Services Revenues Rose in 2Q17

Revenues of $392 million in 2Q17

US-based (SPY) hardware technology (QQQ) firm Juniper Networks’ (JNPR) Services business segment generated revenues of $392 million in 2Q17, a rise of 9% YoY (year-over-year). Strong renewal and attach rates of support contracts, coupled with an increase in demand for professional services, drove Juniper’s Services revenues in 2Q17.

Juniper Networks’ CEO, Rami Rahim, stated, “I am proud of the strength in our product and services portfolio and excited about the opportunity we have in front of us.”

Juniper Networks’ Services segment’s revenues increased from $1.0 billion in fiscal 2011 to $1.3 billion in fiscal 2015, growing at a CAGR[1. compound annual growth rate] of 7%. Its revenues rose 13% YoY to $1.5 billion in fiscal 2016. In the first six months of fiscal 2017, this business segment has generated revenues of $784 million.

Services segment accounts for 30.1% of revenues in 2Q17

Juniper Networks’ Network Services business segment provides maintenance and support to companies in the hardware networking space. In 2Q17, the company’s Network Services sales accounted for 30.1% of the company’s total revenues.

In comparison, this business accounted for 24.0% of sales in fiscal 2011, 26.7% of sales in fiscal 2015, and 29.3% of sales in fiscal 2016.
