Analysts’ estimates

Sell-side analysts estimate that Scotts Miracle-Gro could report sales of $1.2 million in 2Q17—about 2.8% higher than 2Q16. Since there’s seasonality in sales, looking at the estimates for the next four quarters is helpful. Analysts estimate that the company’s sales for the next four quarters could be $3.04 billion—5.2% higher than sales in the previous four quarters.

Analysts also estimate growth of ~5.2% year-over-year for Central Garden & Pet (CENT) in the next four quarters. Similarly, analysts estimate year-over-year sales growth of 2.6% for Spectrum Brands Holdings (SPB) during the same period.
