A Look at Top Performing MLPs in February 2017

Southcross Energy Partners (SXE), which is involved in natural gas gathering and processing, was the top MLP gainer in February 2017. SXE, which was close to filing bankruptcy in 2016, gained 52% in February. However, it is still trading far below the levels it was trading at before the rout in energy prices.

SXE is followed by ONEOK Partners (OKS), which also provides gathering and processing services. OKS gained 21% last month. Its huge gain could be attributed to the simplification transaction it announced last month. For more details, read That’s a Wrap! ONEOK Will Acquire ONEOK Partners.

Natural Resource Partners (NRP), Seadrill Partners (SDLP), and Noble Midstream Partners (NBLX) were among the top performing MLPs in February 2017. In the next article, we’ll look at the worst performing MLPs during the month.
