Juniper’s upcoming 4Q16 earnings
US-based (SPY) Juniper Networks (JNPR) is expected to announce its 4Q16 results on January 26, 2017. Analysts estimate that the company will post revenues of $1.36 billion for the quarter that ended December 31, 2016. The low estimate is $1.34 billion, and the high estimate is $1.37 billion.
EPS (earnings per share) is estimated at $0.63, with a high estimate of $0.66 and a low estimate of $0.58. If Juniper meets analysts’ revenue estimates of $1.36 billion, it will mean a YoY (year-over-year) rise of 2.8% compared to 4Q15.
As you can see in the graph below, Juniper beat EPS analyst estimates in 4Q15 by 5.0% when it announced EPS of $0.63. It also beat EPS analyst estimates in 2Q16 and 3Q16 by 6.4% and 11.5%, respectively.
But in 1Q16, the company posted EPS of $0.37, which was lower than analysts’ estimate of 2.6%.
Juniper’s 3Q16 revenues
Juniper Networks (JNPR) announced its 3Q16 results on October 25, 2016, reporting revenues of ~$1.3 billion. Revenues rose 5.0% sequentially (quarter-over-quarter) and 3.0% YoY (year-over-year).
Juniper’s GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) operating margin for 3Q16 was 19.5% compared to 20.7% in 3Q15 and 16.7% in 2Q16.
Non-GAAP net income was $222.0 million, and EPS was $0.58 per diluted share in 3Q16.
Analysts estimated that Juniper Networks would post revenues of $1.26 billion for the quarter that ended September 30, 2016. The low estimate was $1.24 billion, and the high estimate was $1.28 billion. EPS is estimated at $0.52 with a high estimate of $0.56 and a low estimate of $0.49.
