Petrobras’s forward valuations

Petrobras (PBR) is trading at a two-year forward EV-to-EBITDA (enterprise value to earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization) ratio of 4.8x, below the peer average of 5.4x. 

Petrobras’s peers Statoil (STO), Total SA (TOT), and YPF (YPF) are also trading below the peer average.

Petrobras is likely trading at a discount to its peer average due to its unfavorable leverage position. The iShares Russell 1000 Value ETF (IWD) has ~13% exposure to energy sector stocks.
