As of September 26, 2016, institutional investors had decreased their positions in Apache (APA) since 2Q16.

The percentage of float held in APA by institutional investors has fallen ~2% since 2Q16. Since the end of 2Q16, the number of new institutional buyers of APA’s shares has risen ~14%. The number of sellers has risen ~12.4%, and the number of sell-offs has fallen 6.2%.

In comparison, institutional investors own nearly 85%, 98%, and 99% of floats, respectively, in Anadarko Petroleum (APC), Hess (HES), and Oasis Petroleum (OAS).
