A Look at How Funds Are Flowing into and out of VPU

VPU: Fund flows

We’ll look at the fund flows into the Vanguard Utilities Fund (VPU) in this part. Since July 2016, VPU has experienced net outflows of nearly $320 million. Since then, VPU has corrected nearly 8%.

It should be noted that VPU hasn’t seen net inflows of funds since mid-July. We could continue to see outflows of funds from utilities (FXU)(IDU) as the interest rate hike environment heats up further.
