Spectra Energy’s (SE) Texas Eastern Transmission system connects Texas and the Gulf Coast with markets in the northeastern United States.

Owned by Spectra Energy Partners (SEP), the system has 9,096 miles of pipeline. It can transport 10.5 Bcfpd (billion cubic feet per day) of natural gas and offers ~74 Bcf of natural gas storage.

The above graph shows a breakdown of the Texas Eastern Transmission system’s demand revenue by service provided and by customer type. According to SE, “~95% of U.S. Transmission revenue comes from demand charges.”
