What Are the Key Drivers for EMC’s Cyber Security Products?

Data protection threats

In June 2016, EMC (EMC) announced the results of the EMC Global Data Protection Index 2016. The research report revealed that ~23% of businesses surveyed experienced data loss or unplanned system disruptions due to external security breaches. Taking internal breaches into consideration, this number rose to 36%.

To counter this threat, EMC is launching a new Isolated Recovery Solutions product. According to EMC, this product will help enterprises to create a virtual panic room for their most valuable data, isolating the data from networked systems that could be compromised in a cyber attack.
