Anadarko Petroleum’s 3Q15 production volumes
In 3Q15, Anadarko Petroleum’s (APC) total production volumes totaled 787 Mboe/d (thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day). These results included an increase in oil sales volumes of 11,000 bpd (barrels per day) on a divestiture-adjusted basis.
Anadarko’s production mix
APC has been increasing the share of its liquid production volumes in its US onshore operations, as we can see in the chart above. The figure for 2015 indicates a liquids percentage of ~40% of the total production mix.
Anadarko’s realized prices
APC’s average realized price of crude oil and condensates fell from $94.56 per barrel in 3Q14 to $44.45 per barrel in 3Q15. Its average realized price for natural gas liquids fell from $35.35 per barrel in 3Q14 to $16.26 per barrel in 3Q15. Its average realized price for natural gas fell from $3.62 per Mcf (thousand cubic feet) in 3Q14 to $2.41 per Mcf in 3Q15.
Anadarko’s production guidance
APC lowered its fiscal 2015 production guidance range to 795–800 MMboe/d compared to the earlier guidance range of 816–827 MMboe/d that it had provided in 2Q15. In contrast, many upstream companies such as Marathon Oil (MRO), Chesapeake Energy (CHK), and Concho Resources (CXO) have increased their production guidances for 2015. All these companies make up ~4.3% of the Vanguard Energy ETF (VDE).
