Verizon gets top spot in Houston
RootMetrics recently released its findings on the wireless network performance of the four largest carriers in the Houston market.
According to a Verizon (VZ) press release dated May 20, 2015, “RootMetrics, an independent mobile analytics firm based in Seattle, released its eighth Houston RootScore® report and Verizon Wireless received the highest award for overall network performance in and around the fourth most populous city in the United States.”
The RootMetrics 1H15 results for the Houston market show that Verizon beat AT&T (T) for the top spot in this market in terms of overall network performance. In 2H14, AT&T and Verizon shared the top slot for overall network performance in Houston. This half, Verizon scored highest.
Sprint’s network performance improves in Houston
Sprint’s (S) network performance improved in this market, and it beat out T-Mobile (TMUS) for the third spot in overall network performance in 1H15. T-Mobile’s ranking fell from third to last place in the Houston market.
