1H15 Network Performance: Verizon Beats AT&T in Milwaukee Market

Performance of wireless networks in Milwaukee in 1H15

According to Verizon’s (VZ) press release on April 14, 2015, “RootMetrics, an independent mobile analytics firm based in Seattle, released its 8th Milwaukee RootScore report and Verizon Wireless received the highest award for overall network performance.”

Verizon added, “Scores were based on RootMetrics testing performed between March 18 and March 25, 2015, where the company ranked the four major U.S. wireless providers in six network performance categories: Overall, Reliability, Speed, Data, Call and Text.”

Based on the 1H15 results for the Milwaukee metro market by RootMetrics, Verizon beat AT&T (T) in overall network performance. In the 2H14 RootMetrics results for the market, both AT&T and Verizon shared the top slot in overall network performance among the four largest national wireless carriers.

Sprint (S) and T-Mobile (TMUS) held their third and fourth ranks in this metric for the Milwaukee metro market in 1H15.

Reliability of networks in Milwaukee in 1H15

According to the RootMetrics 1H15 results for the Milwaukee market with respect to the network reliability index, both Verizon and AT&T shared the top spot among the four national wireless carriers. They also shared this place in RootMetrics’s 2H14 results for the market.

Sprint and T-Mobile held their third and fourth ranks in this metric for the Milwaukee metro market in 1H15.
