Accenture’s Recent 3Q15 Earnings Report Reveals Flat YoY Revenues

Accenture reports 3Q15 results

On June 25, 2015, Accenture (ACN) announced its 3Q15 results for the quarter that ended for it on May 31, 2015, and reported revenues of ~$8.28 billion, compared to $8.24 billion in 3Q14. Accenture’s gross profits for 3Q15 were $2.52 billion, compared to $2.53 billion in 3Q14. While revenues increased by 0.42% YoY (year-over-year) in 3Q15, the company’s gross profits declined by 0.43% during the same period.

Accenture reported its 3Q15 operating income and net income at ~$1.13 billion and $794 million, respectively, compared to $1.179 billion and $817 million, respectively, during the same quarter last year. Its EPS (earnings per share) decreased to $1.24 in 3Q15 from $1.26 in 3Q14.

While operating income declined by 3.81% YoY, the company’s net income and diluted EPS declined by 2.81% and 1.58%, respectively, in 3Q15.

Cognizant reports 2Q15 results

On August 6, 2015, Cognizant Technology Solutions (CTSH) announced its 2Q15 results for the quarter that ended on June 30, 2015, and reported revenues of $3.08 billion, compared to $2.51 billion in 2Q14. Cognizant’s gross profits for 2Q15 were $1.24 billion, compared to $1.01 billion in 2Q14. While revenues increased by 22.56% YoY in 2Q15, the company’s gross profits increased by 21.8% during the same period.

Cognizant reported its 2Q15 operating income and net income at $546 million and $420 million, respectively, compared to $488 million and $372 million, respectively, in the same quarter last year. The company’s EPS increased to $0.68 in 2Q15 from $0.61 in 2Q14.

While Cognizant’s operating income increased by 11.88% YoY, its net income and diluted EPS increased by 12.90% and 11.47%, respectively, in 3Q15.

Wipro reports 2Q15 results

On August 3, 2015, Wipro (WIT) announced its 2Q15 results for the quarter that ended on June 30, 2015, and reported revenues of $1.91 billion, compared to $1.86 billion in 2Q14. The company’s gross profits for 2Q15 were $589 million, compared to $610 million in 2Q14. While Wipro’s revenues increased 2.95% YoY (year over year) in 2Q15, its gross profit declined 3.44% during the same period.

Winpro’s operating income and net income reported in 2Q15 were $377 million and $343 million, respectively, compared to $ 398 million and $352 million, respectively, in the same quarter last year. The company’s earnings per share (EPS) remained flat at $0.14, and its operating income and net income decreased by 5.27% and 2.55%, respectively, YoY in 2Q15.

Infosys reports 2Q15 results

On July 21, 2015, Infosys (INFY) announced its 2Q15 results for the quarter that ended on June 30, 2015, and reported revenues of $2.25 billion, compared to $2.13 billion in 2Q14. Infosys’s gross profits for 2Q15 were $822 million, compared to $789 million in 2Q14. While the company’s revenues increased by 5.76% YoY in 2Q15, its gross profits increased by 4.18% during the same period.

Infosys reported its 2Q15 operating income and net income to be $541 million and $476 million, respectively, compared to $536 million and $482 million, respectively, in the same quarter last year. The company’s EPS remained flat at $0.21. Its operating income increased by 0.93%, and its net income decreased by 1.24% YoY in 2Q15.
