AQR Capital Management
AQR Capital Management is an investment management firm founded by former Goldman Sachs portfolio manager Clifford Asness in 1998. He founded the firm with his partners David Kabiller, John Liew, and Robert Krail.
The fund’s portfolio decreased slightly to $36.3 billion in the third quarter, compared to $37.1 billion in the second quarter. 3Q14 positions include 2,398 stocks, compared to 2,406 stocks in 2Q14. The third quarter ended in September.
The table above outlines the top positions that AQR Capital traded during the third quarter. AQR Capital Management added a new position in Bally Technologies Inc. (BYI). The firm increased its position in Gilead Sciences Inc. (GILD), Shire Plc (SHPG), Intel Corp (INTC), Glimcher Realty Trust (GRT), and Biogen Idec Inc. (BIIB). The firm sold positions in AstraZeneca (AZN) and Riverbed Technology Inc. (RVBD).
