
How Are T-Mobile’s Revenues Trending in 2019?

In the first quarter, T-Mobile (TMUS) reported total revenues of $11.1 billion, a rise of 6.0% YoY and $81 million ahead of the consensus estimate. The revenue growth YoY was mainly due to 6.0% YoY growth in the company’s service revenues to $8.3 billion in the first quarter from $7.8 billion in the same period a year ago. The increase in T-Mobile’s service revenues was majorly due to the growth in its branded postpaid revenues. T-Mobile’s equipment revenues also rose 6.9% YoY to $2.5 billion from $2.4 billion.
Analysts expect T-Mobile’s net revenues to change YoY by 5.3% to $11.1 billion in the second quarter, 4.4% to $11.3 billion in the third quarter, and 4.0% to $11.9 billion in the fourth quarter. Analysts also expect the company’s net revenues to change YoY by 4.9% to $45.4 billion in 2019, 4.5% to $47.5 billion in 2020, and 5.3% to $50.0 billion in 2021.
