Stone Energy’s oil and gas revenue mix

In 1Q17, Stone Energy’s (SGY) operating revenues from crude oil (USO), natural gas (UNG), and natural gas liquids sales totaled ~$91 million, a rise of ~14% compared to 1Q16.

The year-over-year (or YoY) rise in SGY’s 1Q17 oil and gas revenues can be attributed to higher realized prices YoY. We’ll study SGY’s realized prices in the next article.

As we can see in the chart above, in 1Q17, ~$66 million (or ~72%) of Stone Energy’s oil and gas revenues came from crude oil sales. A total of ~$16 million (or ~17%) of its oil and gas revenues came from natural gas sales, and only ~$9 million (or ~10%) came from natural gas liquids sales.

In 1Q17, ~$876 million (or ~67%) of Devon Energy’s operating revenues came from crude oil sales.
