Jack Dorsey is a tech entrepreneur best known for co-founding Twitter, where he served as CEO from 2006 to 2008 and again from 2015 to 2021. He stepped down from his position as CEO in November 2021, naming former CTO Parag Agrawal as his successor.
Dorsey is also the founder of Block, Inc., formerly known as Square, which is still the name of its namesake payments platform. Block also owns the peer-to-peer money transfer app CashApp and is currently finalizing its acquisition of Afterpay, one of the leading "buy now, pay later" companies.
The tech entrepreneur is one of many in Silicon Valley who are heavily invested in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, particularly Bitcoin. Though his personal BTC holdings are unknown, Block reportedly holds more than $8,000 Bitcoin among its assets.
