These Energy Stocks Gained the Most Last Week

In the week ended November 3, 2017, oilfield services stocks CARBO Ceramics (CRR) and Weatherford International (WFT) ranked first and second on our list of top energy gainers. The VanEck Vectors Oil Services ETF (OIH) was the second-highest gainer among energy subsector ETFs and rose 4.6% last week.

Our list of energy stocks is taken from the VanEck Vectors Oil Services ETF (OIH), the SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF (XOP), the Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLE), and the Alerian MLP ETF (AMLP). The list also includes a few US-listed integrated energy stocks.

Between October 27 and November 3, 2017, upstream stocks California Resources (CRC), Carrizo Oil & Gas (CRZO), and Denbury Resources (DNR) ranked third, fourth, and fifth, respectively, among our list of top energy gainers.

Notably, the SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF (XOP) outperformed our list of energy subsector ETFs over this time period, rising 5.9% last week.
