On August 25–September 1, 2017, oilfield services stock CARBO Ceramics (CRR) was the largest loser among our list of energy stocks from the following energy ETFs—the Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLE), the VanEck Vectors Oil Services ETF (OIH), the SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF (XOP), and the Alerian MLP ETF (AMLP). A few US-listed, but foreign-based integrated energy companies are also included on the list.

Last week, Tidewater (TDW) and Helmerich & Payne (HP) were the second and fifth-largest losers on our list of energy stocks. In fact, the VanEck Vectors Oil Services ETF (OIH) was the second-lowest gainer among the energy subsector ETFs. In Part 2, we discussed the price performance of the major energy subsector ETFs.

Integrated energy stock YPF SA (YPF) was the third-largest loser on our list of energy stocks in the week ending September 1, 2017. Upstream stock Cobalt International Energy (CIE) was the fourth-largest loser during this period.
